Winchester Registry Office, Hampshire

Some couples choose one perfect day. Nikki and Chris chose two, and we were thrilled to capture both chapters of their love story.

September brought an intimate ceremony at Winchester Registry Office, a beautiful 19th-century building at the heart of historic Winchester's Castle Hill. Just their closest family, friends and their beloved dog Evie in Winchester's gorgeous historic setting. Following the ceremony, we captured some of our favourite portraits at the nearby Winchester Cathedral and the surrounding streets, before heading to a local pub for a relaxed drinks reception.

We joined them again at Owls Castle, a stunning rustic barn venue in the Kent countryside. It was lively and full of personality from start to finish. Chris' speech was hilarious with people wiping away tears of laughter. An impromptu beer run led to a groomsman pulling his hamstring. After the wedding breakfast, an old fashioned ice cream van arrived to serve dessert. Nikki then had an outfit change for the evening, the perfect shift into party mode, as she spent the rest of the evening on the dancefloor.

These two days complemented each other so beautifully. Two different venues, two different atmospheres, and both felt completely true to them.
